Free stock photos for commercial use

Where the photos come from

Free Creative Assets aggregates three of the largest free photo libraries: Pexels, Pixabay and Unsplash. Each has its own permissive license that allows commercial use without payment or credit. The category pages on this site are built from the Pexels API; the live search on the homepage queries all three sources at once.

Free vs. royalty-free vs. public domain

"Royalty-free" means you pay nothing per use, not that the image has no owner. Free stock sites grant you a broad license but keep copyright with the photographer, so the terms (no resale, no implied endorsement) still apply. Public domain (CC0) images have no restrictions at all. Check the source page when the distinction matters for your project. Details in the stock photo license guide.
